Train to Yulichka, 2017, 6'15", digital film with sound

Winner of Liverpool Film Night at FACT, Liverpool:

"The six minute short Train to Yulichka was chosen for its artistry, as the film beautifully captures the emotional state of being in limbo on long, cross-country train journeys.

Flickers of light shine between tree branches, and dreamlike pastel landscapes roll past the train window in this simple, yet thoughtful film. Paired with a soundscape that combines gusts of wind as the train flies past each stop, station tannoy systems reciting the day’s schedules and the mechanical noises of the train’s brakes, the layers of site-specific sounds create a tangible sense of travel."
